Yuna - week 6, Monday

Yuna,

I never told you this, but when I asked you to stay inside on the night Russell was placed in the stocks, it was because I knew the Sheriff wanted to have you killed. I don't know why-- I never got that information-- but I intend to ask about it the next time I speak with him. I didn't tell you this because I didn't wish to concern you, but I feel as though you still would have gone out there even if you had known.

I'm furious at the Sheriff, and also somewhat furious with myself for being unable to do more to protect you. And yet, as I told Jason, I know you wouldn't blame me in the slightest. That is the kind of person you are.

I respect that determination. I respect the fire that burns brightly in your heart, and the way you fight for what you believe in no matter what. Those are very admirable qualities, and I hope you hold onto them tightly even after we leave this place.

I have a sister back home, you know? Her name is Muzét. She isn't related to me in the same way human sisters are related to their kin, but that's because we're both spirits who were born in special circumstances. I didn't even know I had a sister until recently, and I have to admit that I'm still getting used to the idea. I've never truly had a family in the traditional sense, other than the Four Great Spirits who helped raise me when my human body was younger. It's odd, but I think I like it.

So when you called me a sister, I found that it made me happy. I'd honestly be very pleased to consider you the same. Thank you, Yuna, for allowing me into your family.

I found the flower bookmarks you made in your room. They're really very lovely! I'll make sure to pass them out to those who are still alive. I'm certain everyone will appreciate them.

Please stay safe where you are. I firmly believe we'll see each other again. I'm still fighting for you and everyone else who has died. My duty now is to make sure we all go home alive, and I will see that duty through. I trust you'll do whatever you can from where you are to help me.

To the day we meet again,
Milla
