[Bounties + Honorary Bounty: week 5, Tuesday]
[on Tuesday, Milla flags down Percy, Damian and Noctis and tells them to meet her at the homestead-- the perfect, out-of-the-way place for clandestine meetings. she makes sure she arrives first (after all, part of the purpose of this meeting is to introduce Noctis to Percy and Damian as another Bounty), so when the others arrive they'll find her dutifully feeding a cow some hay from her hand]
[when all known Bounties and the Honorary Bounty arrive, she speaks up, hand resting on the cow's neck as it chews its cud]
I confirmed yesterday afternoon that Noctis is a fellow Bounty. With three of us gathered, I imagine the Sheriff will soon be introducing us to the fourth-- and last-- of our numbers.
[or is it fifth, with Percy hanging around?? he was just as good as a Bounty in her mind, after all. ah well]
And with that, I imagine we all have much to discuss.
[MEETING, GET!!]

The sooner we can, the better. [he sighs and mutters under his breath:] I feel like we're chocobos running around with our heads cut off.
[though they got this far, but his woefully uninformed life definitely frustrates him when they're trying to figure this all out.]
Guess we just have to figure out how. Or hope they all come spilling their guts to Percy.

Man, I got lucky with you three. I don't know if I can keep that up.
Maybe we should make a list of people who hang out at the saloon a lot? That's where the Madame and Bartender work out of.

[he pauses, and there's one immediate name he can think of.]
...Sara spends a lot of time there.

That was one of the first places I met her. [And then, tentatively:] And Mr. Barnham's an inquisitor back home. Inquisitors ask questions...
...there's no way it can be that easy, can it?
no subject
[but he's not sure it would be that easy, honestly. it seems too obvious to noct, though...
maybe it's that obvious to deter them. but even still.]
I don't think I'd have pegged any of us for Bounty types either, if we were just looking at that part.

[he frowns, thinking about what the sheriff had said to him earlier on in the game.]
All he told me what that he thought I had "a lick of potential." Whatever that's supposed to mean.
no subject
Sometimes I really, really hate him. [That makes no sense!!!]
This is going to sound weird, but you've never done something like this before, have you?
no subject
[welp.]
Kind of.
[even noct knows what he's doing is pretty similar to keeping his identity on the d/l.]
It's... not really that weird for me to keep my head low these days.
no subject
Because of the royalty thing? [Fuck, is he allowed to talk about that???]
no subject
The Niffs said me, dad and Luna were dead to the public. Was... just my dad at the time, so I had to keep a low profile. Made it harder for them to track me down even when they knew I was alive.
[there's no point in keeping it a secret from his fellow bounties anyway, they should know who they're working with.]
no subject
[But Noct what is your life, jeez.] Isn't that what Bounties are anyway?
no subject
I was wanted for a time, yes.
I broke into a military research facility to destroy a Spryix-based weapon.
[no shame!!]

Despite doing what we can to help the city and apprehend high-level criminals, the police will try to arrest us if given the opportunity.
Technically, what we do is illegal.

Let's hope your luck for attracting people with roles continues. You do seem to be the compass that guided us all together.
[the amusement fades pretty quickly, though]
What do the Madame and the Bartender do, exactly? I assume at least one of those roles is related to the items we're finding.

“Because I know you, Percy Jackson. In many ways, you are impulsive, but when it comes to your friends, you are as constant as a compass needle. You are unswervingly loyal, and you inspire loyalty. You are the glue that will unite the seven.”
...is that what this is? He shakes his head to clear his thoughts, giving her a light smile in return.] Yeah. Seems that way, huh?
As for the Madame and Bartender...they can investigate one person a week, if I remember right. They can see if they have a role. They can also send out anonymous notes once a week, they work together and work out of the saloon. I thought the items were related to them, too, but that's the Doctor role from what I've heard.
no subject
[well, that strikes something with him almost immediately. WAIT A MINUTE.]
Like... what I found on that von Karma guy?
no subject
I think we were supposed to believe it came from Higekiri or Ezio, but that doesn't make sense.
no subject
Maybe it could've been a warning? To get him away because they knew he was being targeted or something. [he's grasping at straws here, but it's the best he can come up with.]
no subject
no subject
No. . . I don't think that note was from the Bartender or the Madame. I spoke to Ezio about that note before his execution. He stated it was the only way to get Manfred out of the hotel that night, but he couldn't remember exactly what it said.
[but as for anonymous notes. . .!]
I'm curious to know who has received one of those now. It seems those notes are being kept private, because I haven't heard anyone talking about them at all.
no subject
well, that's that idea out the window, never mind. no point in reciting the note, if that's the case.]
I haven't either. I wonder what the deal with them actually is, then.
no subject
It could be notes to people to lure them out to investigate them? I don't know why people would listen to them though. There's also the idea that they haven't actually sent notes yet even if they can.
no subject
Or, perhaps, something akin to what you did Percy.
[and by that she means "drawing the roles together that need to find each other"]
no subject
We should maybe look at two people that spend a lot of time together, too. They'd have to learn how to work together to come to an agreement on who to pick each week, wouldn't they?
