I've been trying to figure that out.

So have we.
We have a few suspects in mind.
But no confirmation
So far we only know that the Deputy has a choice.
They may either make one person more vulnerable to Bandits through the stocks.
Or protect them by putting them in the jail cell.
So far, they've only chosen to make people vulnerable.
Myself and the other Bounties fear what might happen if a person like that won the game.

Xion, potentially, but right now we feel it more likely Xion is being manipulated by Dr. Lecter.

Yuna said something about the Deputy possibly being someone young. If that's the case, then your theory about Xion being manipulated might be right.

[Milla never got to ask Yuna about her thoughts on the Deputy before she died, and that's definitely one of her bigger regrets. especially since Yuna told her about being the Bartender a few days before she died. :(]

[AND BELIEVE ME, EVENTUALLY GETTING AROUND TO SUSPECTING HANNIBAL WAS A WILD RIDE]

It began with the bounties and our trusted allies discussing some strange things Xion said.
We found out she's been lying about what she knows to people she supposedly trusts.
We also found out she knew some information that she didn't receive from any of us.
We thought back to the other people she speaks to often, and arrived at Dr. Lecter and Will.
We then started discussing some of the things Dr. Lecter and Will have said that we all brushed aside.
And in thinking back on it, those two may not be as harmless as they seem.

[ Well. That's actually very concerning, and even while Sara and Milla are discussing smut like mature adults, she's soaking in this new information. And none of it is good. Xion, lying about her knowledge? And picking up information from some unknown source?

... And if Sara investigated her and found a role, that would have been another point of suspicion.

Except Sara was going to die tomorrow, and Yuna was already dead, and fuck. ]

So that's why you said I was needed.
You needed to see what we could learn about her.

[despite their conversation, and despite the fact that Milla is trying to seem nonchalant and casual, her expression flickers. there's. . . sadness in her eyes, but its gone in an instant]
